Proxmox VE 8.4 released

Moin,

ich habe heute die Mail bekommen, dass Proxmox VE die Version 8.4 erreicht hat

Das könnte für einige interessant sein

Virtiofs directory passthrough: Version 8.4 offers the functionality to share files and directories directly between a host and the VMs running on that host. This is achieved through the use of virtiofs, which allows VM guests to access host files and directories without the overhead of a network file system. Modern Linux guests support virtiofs out of the box while Windows guests need additional software to use this feature.

Na dann mal viel Spaß, ich habe es schon installiert

Danke für die Info. Direkt installiert. Bis jetzt läuft alles

We installiert man das?

Celebrating 20 Years of Proxmox!

Today marks a significant milestone for Proxmox — 20 years of building successfull open-source solutions. We are celebrating 2 decades of open source innovation, and the incredible people who made all this possible: our employees, community, customers, contributors, and partners around the world.

Two decades ago today on April 29, 2005 we released the first stable version of Proxmox Mail Gateway.

In April 2008 we released our virtualization management solution Proxmox Virtual Environment. We are proud of providing what is now the best open-source alternative for managing VMs and containers, software-defined storage and networking functionality, on a single platform.

2020 marked the year when we released Proxmox Backup Server, an enterprise backup solution for backing up and restoring VMs, containers, and physical hosts, entirely built on Rust.

We have plenty on our roadmap, from Software-defined Network (SDN), to Proxmox Datacenter Manager, to deepening our partnerships with hardware and software or backup suppliers.

Today, Proxmox is a successful and profitable company, independent and self-financed. Our goals have been expanded, but we still continue to work to make our products even more powerful, our services even better, and integrate the latest technologies, and keep our platforms easy to manage.

A MASSIVE thank you to each and every one of you – you’re all amazing!

Sincerely,

Dietmar and Martin Maurer, Founders
